HOUGHTON LAKE – The Northern Center in Houghton Lake recently held its first 3-on-3 basketball tournament. The tournament was held over two days with 15 teams from five different men’s, boy’s and girl’s division. It also held a 3-point youth shooting event as well.
The Northern Center in Houghton Lake held its Up North Madness 3-point event recently. 3-point youth winners included:
Men’s 30+ Division: “Slam Drunk:” (l-r) DJ Decker, Shane Hemphill, TJ Webber and Travis Simmons Men’s 18-29 Division: “Your Mom’s Favorite Team:” Jordan Eisenga, Danny Griffin and Mason Paneli (in no order).Boys 11-14 years Champions: “Patriots” (in no order) Dillon Teed, Leo Malone, Keagan Kinyon, Denny Perryman of St. Helen. Boys 15-17 years Champions: “Aces” (l-r) Connor Simmer, Carter Simmer, Ashtyn Simerson, Tyler Hall of Mesick.Girl’s 11-14 years Champions: “Brick Breakers (l-r) Abby Tooker, Bailey Monroe and Vivianna Harmon of Houghton Lake
Girl’s champion was Bailey Monroe, 13, of Houghton Lake.
