William H. “Bill” Peyton, Jr., 71, of Lewiston, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022.
He was born to William and Dolores (Schwanke) Peyton, Sr., on March 2, 1951, in Arlington Virginia.
Bill loved to go golfing, and especially enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, or morel mushroom picking. He cherished spending time with friends and family. On weekends, he would often gather with his friends to play cards or go fishing, hunting, or golfing. He also enjoyed watching football, and bowling.
Bill and his wife, Christina, were painters for 43 years, in the town of Lewiston, Michigan. He was loved and admired by many in the community and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Christina (Walter); mother, Dolores; son, Sam (Jessica) Peyton; granddaughter, Braelyn; sister, Cathy (John) Good of Ocean Pines, Maryland; along with nieces, nephews, 2 great-nephews, and 1 great-niece.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. from the Nelson Funeral Home in Gaylord, with visitation, beginning at noon.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan or a charity of your choice.
