HALE- The Hale track season has been going well.  There have been a lot of new personal records for the season. Chloe Bernard obtained a new 1600-meter personal record which is 7:08.  Some other new personal records are Sean Bernard’s 800-meter run (2:18) and Kenny Matthews 100-meter best (12.2).

The boys 4×800 relay team is hoping to qualify for the state finals this year.  The team consists of Sean Bernard, Kenny Matthews, Kyle Losinski and Paxton Downing.  The relay team’s best time this season was run on May 9, 2023, with a time of 10:03.  On the girls’ team, Rowan Hood has high hopes of going to the state finals in the 100-meter dash.

There are 3 regular meets now left in the season with the addition of the Alpena Honor Roll meet. Runners need to qualify for the Alpena Honor Roll meet.  As of now there are 2 boys and 2 girls who have qualified for the meet:  Sean Bernard in the 800-meter, Kenny Matthews in long jump, Rowan Hood in the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash, and Liz Wolanin in the 800-meter run.
