Hale football season recap

Hale football 2022

By: Leah Sunseri, Student

HALE – Typically, a good season is characterized by wins and losses. This year at Hale, football players focused on positive attitudes and teamwork whilst improving their skills. The homecoming football game, Hale vs. Charlston Heston, really showed the team’s improvement from the beginning of the season.

Seth Gibson, describes the season as, “not the best, but we’re a small team of young players and we gave it our all. There’s a lot of things we can learn from this season.” His opinion on the best game was against Mio. “We controlled the ball; we played phenomenal offense.” When asked to compare the beginning of the season to now, Gibson states, “We improved a LOT from the beginning of the season. We practiced hard every day. We worked hard and played our hearts out. We loved every minute of it.”

Like many sports, football relies on teamwork, sportsmanship, and upkeeping a positive mindset. The 2022 season was a learning experience. Not only for players and coaches, but for everyone involved. If you work hard enough, you will reach your desired outcome. Thank you to our amazing coaches for teaching our players the lessons they show us not through words, but through their blood, sweat, and tears. Here’s to another season Eagles!
