REGION – The Grayling Boys and Girls Track teams have been busy wrapping up their 2016 season.
The Vikings recently traveled to Harbor Springs for the Kiwanis 9th & 10th Grade Meet.
Ellie Carr finished first in the shot put with a throw of 31’3.5′, breaking the 2007 record of Laura Boylan (30’04.00′). She also finished first in the discus with a throw of 70’11.
The 4 x 800 Relay team of Jakob Carrier, Ricky Heavner, Logan Joseph, and Kendall Tomczak finished fourth with a time of 9:34.07.
On May 12 the team traveled to East Jordan for the Falcon Invitational:
Carr broke her own shot put record with a throw of 32’9.50. She also won the discuss with a throw of 81’10.5′.
Emily Jackson was first in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:26.36.
