Youth Hunt and Disabled Hunt 2022

REGION – Sept. 10-11 was the date for this years youth and disabled veteran hunt. Congratulations to these successful hunters!

Aaven Peterson, 8, of West Branch was hunting with his Uncle Jordan when he got his first deer, a four-point.
Brantley Ellis
Brantley Ellis was hunting on his Grandpa Rob’s farm in Mio with his dad Bryan. Brantley is five years old, turning six November 12. He shot this four-point at 7 a.m. and dropped him at 50 yards.
Dave Caton Chris Plamondon
Dave Caton of Hale, was hunting with his son-in-law Chris Plamondon of Traverse City, Sept. 10 when he shot this five-point, fully velveted buck. It was shot around 7:30 p.m. on the Caton farm in Hale. Dave is a 100% disabled Vet with lung cancer. He normally shoots right-handed, but because of a port in his chest, he had to shoot this deer left-handed. He hasn’t hunted in 20+ years!
Gage Foster
Gage Foster got this doe, his third deer, while hunting with his dad, Larry Foster Jr. in Posen.
Harper Reily
Harper Reilly, 8, of Hale shot this six-point.
Kayne Hock Wren Fritz
Kayne Hock, 10, of West Branch, was hunting in Tawas with sister Wren Fritz and step dad Patrick Fritz when he got his buck.
Keaton Crawford
Keaton Crawford, 11, shot his first buck, a 10-point on the Crawford Family Farm in West Branch.
Landon Sova
Landon Sova of Roscommon shot this buck the opening day of the youth opener Sept. 10. He was hunting in Wolverine with his Nae Nae (Grandma).
Owen Foster
Owen Foster, 9, was hunting with Justin Hein in Posen when he got his first deer, a spike horn.
