Barbara L. Harvey, age 73 of Hale, MI., passed away on September 20, 2022. She was born on August 24, 1949 to the late Ashton and Phyllis Harvey. Barbara was a longtime resident of Hale and a graduate of Hale High School. She loved to cook and did so professionally at Johnny O’s (Big Bob’s) in Hale, Genii’s in Tawas and the Hale senior center.
Barbara was a dedicated volunteer with local non-profits. She was a past president of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, A lifetime worthy member and past worthy matron of the Lincoln Eastern Stars chapter 184, and a longtime member of Hale United Methodist Church. Gardening and growing flowers was one of her favorite hobbies at home.
Barbara never married, nor had children, but she was an outstanding friend to those who knew her and loved by so many. Although she has no surviving family members, she will be remembered and missed by dear friends, especially her laugh.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will take place on October 18, 2022 at 11:30am at the Hale United Methodist Church. Pastor Jim Britt will be officiating.
