ROSCOMMON COUNTY – The local United Way is conducting a raffle to raise funds for the 2018 campaign. Four businesses, Chemical Bank, MidMichigan Community Health Services, Spicer’s Boat City and Northwood’s have collaborated to support the raffle.
The first place prize is two nine foot kayaks with paddles and life jackets, his and her Schwinn bicycles and a GoPro Hero camera. Second place prize is an inflatable kayak, two camping chairs, Coleman Cooler, propane camping grill and his and her winter jackets. The total value of the prizes is over $1,300. Tickets are $5.00 each and can be purchased by calling the United Way office at 989-275-2067, online at www.roscommoncountyunitedway.org or at the Houghton Lake Chamber of Commerce office.
The winning ticket will be drawn Dec. 18 at the United Way board meeting.
This year the Roscommon County United Way distributed approximately $40,000 among twenty local nonprofits supporting programs in the areas of health, education and financial stability. All proceeds from the Four Seasons Outdoor Fun raffle will go to support the 2018 campaign funding nonprofits in Roscommon County.
