Terry J. Zidick
Age 83, of East Tawas, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026, in Saginaw, Michigan. Terry was born to the late Joseph and Almeda (Niebel) Zidick on July 11, 1942, in Saginaw, Michigan. Terry spent his childhood growing up in Saginaw, and was a graduate of Saginaw High School, Class of 1960. Following high school Terry entered the United States Navy. He proudly served our country for three years before he was honorably discharged. He then returned to Michigan after the military and started training to become a Michigan State Trooper. He started at the Detroit Post, went to the Bay City Post, and ultimately ended up at the Tawas Post. Terry spent 18 years with the Michigan State Police, and he enjoyed serving in that role.
On October 16, 1965, Terry married the love of his life, Janice (Campau) Zidick, in Saginaw, Michigan. The two spent the next 60 years together making countless memories and raising a family. They moved to East Tawas in 1972, and have been residents of the area ever since. Terry was a member of the Iosco County Airport Flying Club, and served as the President of the Linwood Sportsman club. He had his pilots license, and he often enjoyed flying planes whenever he could. Some of his other favorite hobbies consisted of reading, working on cars, riding motorcycles, listening to classic rock music, cooking, talking with his friends, and spending quality time with his family.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Janice Zidick; daughter, Kelly Zidick; and his dog, “Shotzy”. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Almeda Zidick; and his daughter, Kimberly Zidick.
Per Terry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place this summer. He will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. You may leave an online condolence at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
