Stanley Louis Steve Dombrowski, age 71, of Roscommon, died in a car accident, in Markey Township, on Friday, March 14, 2025.
Stan was born July 1,1953, the son of Stanley and Katherine (Herzig) Dombrowski, and raised in Almont, Michigan. He married Patricia Kay Barber on August 18,1973, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Roscommon. They were blessed with two sons, Stanley and Zachary.
Stan graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University. He spent his 30-year career at Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan as an Industrial Hygienist working in the Environmental Health and Safety Department. Following his retirement from Dow Chemical, Stan turned his hobby into his next career by joining Maier & Associates in Bay City. Stan was a Certified Financial Planner, Advisory Board member and Managing Partner of the Northern Michigan offices in Gaylord and Roscommon. Stan had the heart of a teacher as he guided and taught his clients.
Stan had a love for his family, work, and golf. He cherished watching his boy’s playing sports, and the hours shared together boating, fishing, and shooting firearms. In later years he enjoyed spending time with his sons and their families, both here in Michigan and out west. For decades, beautiful memories were made at the lake by hosting extended family and friends.
Stan is survived by his wife, of 51 years, Patti; sons: Stash (Alexis Murphy) Dombrowski of Peoria, Arizona, and Zak (Molly) Dombrowski of Pine, Colorado; grandchildren: Augustine, Faustina and Josephine of Pine, Colorado; siblings: Stella Duckert, Katherine Bollaert, Rosemary (Art) Feys, Anthony (Tara) Dombrowski, Micheal (Lynn) Dombrowski, Stephanie (Jim) Brennan; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Stan is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Katherine Dombrowski; and sister, Theresa Dombrowski.
On Friday, March 21st, family and friends will gather for visitation, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Michael Catholic Church, 104 North Sixth Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m.
