Rodney Everette Charron
Age 85, of Oscoda, MI, formerly of Pinconning, MI passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. He was born on December 11, 1939 in Grayling, MI to the late Sanford Everette and Loretta (Sorenson) Charron.
Rodney married the love of his life, Patricia Ann Mulroy on July 6, 1963 and together, they cherished 62 years of love and friendship.
He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Western University and his Master’s Degree in speech pathology and audiology from the University of Illinois. Rodney worked as a speech pathologist for the Oscoda Area Schools for 35 years, retiring in 1998.
Over the years, Rodney enjoying hunting, fishing, skiing and taking care of the farm.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Craig Charron of Columbus, OH and Kellie Charron of Lansing, MI; sisters, Beccy Kowalski of Corunna, MI and Kaye Laughton of Roscommon, MI; grandchildren, Forrest Sweet of Lansing, MI and Claire Charron and Lawson Charron of Gahanna, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Sandra Bressler and Diane Soderman. Rodney will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
The family will welcome friends on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 12 PM until the time of service beginning at 2 PM at Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda, MI. Interment will take place in Oscoda Pinecrest Cemetery.
