Richard “Rick” Joseph Jackson, age 51 of Glennie, MI., passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends. Rick was born on May 1, 1973 in Saginaw, MI., to William and Janice (Tompa) Jackson. He was a natural athlete and was in the wrestling program at Swan Valley High School. After graduating he went on to do 2 years of community college.
Rick was a skilled builder and worked both for himself and for other companies. He married the love of his life, Tara (Schiellerd) Jackson, and together they lived in the beautiful home that Rick built in Glennie. Rick was an avid outdoorsman. He loved trout fishing, hunting, hiking, kayaking and canoeing, picking rocks, and off roading in his Jeeps.
Rick is survived by his wife, Tara; daughter, Morgan Jackson; father, William (Louise Knight) Jackson; stepsons, Kurtice Erving, Kodi (Jessica) Erving, Kelcei Erving; several stepbrothers and step-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved K9 companions, Rarri and Huk.
Rick is preceded in death by his mother, Janice; brother, Mark Jackson (Green Beret Sgt 1st class) and K9 companion, Remi.
