William ‘Fred’ Bevins, 75, of Prudenville

William ‘Fred” Bevins, age 75, of Prudenville, previously of Ypsilanti, passed away on Tuesday September 17, 2024 at MyMichigan Medical Center in Saginaw surrounded by his loving family.

Fred was born on July 20, 1949 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to William and Juanita (Harrison) Bevins. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Fred was married on September 2, 1972 in Ypsilanti to Debra Halloway. He retired from the State of Michigan where he was a Physical Plant Superintendent. The couple later moved to Prudenville. He enjoyed woodworking.

Fred is survived by his loving wife of 52 years; Debra  Bevins of Prudenville, children; Fred (Salyna) Bevins of Eaton Rapids and Sarah (Chris) Fry of Ypsilanti, grandchildren; LouAnn (Rob), LanDon, Aubrieanna, Kolby, Sadie (Ryan) and Hunter, and great grandchildren; Matthew and Scarlett, step-grandchildren; Yzabelle, Christian, Dominic, Parker, Tristan and Eden, sister; Sue (Frank) Moore of Lovells. He was preceded in death by his parents.  

Per William’s wishes cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Diabetes Association.
