Stan Kaczmarek, 71, of Rose City

Stanley Edward Kaczmarek, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at his home in Rose City, MI. He was born on December 16, 1952, in Bay City, MI to his loving parents Ivan and Eva (Stawairski) Kaczmarek.  He lived in the Rose City – West Branch area for over 60 years, formerly of Pinconning, MI.

Stan led a remarkable life filled with diverse experiences. After graduating from Ogemaw Heights High School in the class of 1970, he embarked on a fulfilling career journey. Stan worked at Narski’s Meat Market and later transitioned to Sammons Construction and pursued a career as a dedicated steelworker. His passion for construction led him to establish his own successful business, Kelcourt Construction, which thrived for over 40 years.

Outside of work, Stan enjoyed various hobbies such as hunting, riding motorcycles, cooking, attending family events, and spending time at Terry’s Gun Shop. His enthusiastic spirit and zest for life were truly infectious to all who knew him. He attended Holy Family Catholic Church in West Branch.

In addition to his professional accomplishments and hobbies, Stan cherished his family deeply. He is survived by his children: Kelli (Jeff) Rembowski of Rose City, Courtney (Patrick) Mortenson of Tillamook, OR, and Jordan Kaczmarek of Detroit, MI. He also leaves behind grandchildren Tyler Kaczmarek of Kawkawlin, MI and Conner (Desirae Schunk) Kaczmarek of West Branch.

Stanley was predeceased by his parents and his brother Ivan “Van”. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later time.

His presence in the lives of his family and friends will be dearly missed but his legacy of hard work, dedication, and love will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
