Harold married his wife and best friend, Shirley (Cuvelier) Coles in 1977 in Swartz Creek and the couple enjoyed 47 beautiful years of marriage.

Harold is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Coles of Alabaster Township (Tawas City); brother, Todd Coles of Swartz Creek; sister, Lori and her husband Ron Devine of Swartz Creek; and brother, John and his wife Linda Coles of Swartz Creek; 6 nieces and nephews, Alex, Katie, and Douglas Coles, Brennan Coles, Jessica Newbold, and Justin Oskey; and so many very special friends.  Harold is preceded in death by his father and mother, Harold and Betty Coles; grandparents, Erwin and Bessie Schluckebier.

A time of visitation for Harold is scheduled for Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Buresh Funeral Home in Tawas City.  Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, May 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church in Tawas City with Reverend Gabriel Martin officiating.  Harold’s family will welcome friends at the church on Friday morning for a time of visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of his funeral service.

Per his wishes, cremation will take place following the funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for Harold may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church in his honor.
