Clifford Mesaros, 90, of Oscoda

Clifford F. Mesaros, age 90, of Oscoda, MI passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 at his home.  He was born in Raritan, NJ on June 28, 1933 to the late Steven and Lillian Mesaros (Krueger).  After graduation, Cliff served in the United States Army.  After his honorable discharge he landed in the Detroit area after meeting his wife Sharon on a trip to Niagara Falls.  They married on October 6, 1956 in Warren, MI and she preceded him in death on February 6, 2006.  Together they owned and operated the Bavarian Bakery since its inception in 1978 in Harrisville, MI.   They moved the business to Oscoda in 1996 and it is still operated to this day by his family.  Cliff also worked for Dearborn Distributor (Carlings-Miller) and locally for Stevens Moving Company and for more than 25 years at Oscoda Area Schools as a custodian.  He enjoyed playing cards, yard work, gardening and most especially spending time with his family.  Cliff was a big football fan and he played for Army’s football team during his enlistment.  He is survived by his four children, daughter Penny Gabrielson of Farmington, MI, son Tim (Mary) Mesaros of Greenbush, MI, daughter Laurie Mesaros of Oscoda, MI and son Doug Mesaros of Oscoda, MI; two grandchildren, April and Matt; two great grandchildren, Brianna and Ashley and three great great granddaughters, Mary, Layla and Sisi.  In addition to his parents and wife, Cliff was preceded in death by his son Clifford “Bubba” Mesaros and brother Steve Mesaros.  The family will receive friends on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM at the Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda, MI.  The interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Oscoda, MI.  You may offer condolences at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
