Aaron Richard Blamer, age 36 of Mio, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

Aaron was born in Grayling, Michigan on June 25, 1987, to Richard and Sallie (Going) Blamer.  He graduated from Fairview High School with the Class of 2006, and from the Police Academy at Kirtland Community College in 2007. Aaron was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. He also enjoyed coaching soccer and T-Ball, and his most-loved activity was being with his “girls” – his daughters. Aaron had the “gift of gab” and loved his friends, He was a devoted father, and loving son, brother, and nephew who will be dearly missed.

Aaron is survived by his parents: Richard and Sallie (Going) Blamer; his daughters: Willow (age 12) and Jade (age 7); his sister Lindie Blamer (Pat Mowbray); his aunts and uncles: Uncle Robert (Linda) Going, Aunt Peggy (Kenneth)Teter, and Uncle Steve (Claudia) Blamer; his cousins and his many special friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Robert & Joan Going and John & Clara Blamer.

Visitation on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 1 – 4 PM and again from 6 – 8 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI. Visitation will also take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 10 AM until Funeral Services at 11 AM, also at Lashley Funeral Home with Pastor Allan Feltner officiating. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow the services. A luncheon provided by the Ladies of the Mio New Hope Assembly of God Church will be held at the Mio Community Center immediately following the service.

Memorial donations may be made to benefit Aaron’s children, directed to Sallie Blamer.
