Judith “Judy” Marie Ostermeyer, age 67, of Oscoda, MI passed away on April 2, 2024 at Medilodge of Tawas City.
Judy was born on December 11, 1956 in Oak Lawn, Illinois to the late James William and Dorothy (Urban) Ostermeyer. She graduated from Queen of Peace High School in Chicago, IL and went on to obtain her Nursing Degree from Saint Xavier University in Chicago. Judy joined the United States Air Force as a nurse and proudly served as a Second Lieutenant. It was during her time in the service being stationed at Wurtsmith Air Force Base, that she fell in love with the area.
Judy worked for most of her career at Ascension Hospital in Standish, MI. She absolutely loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping and birding. In her spare time, she also enjoyed reading, spending time with her dogs and treasured being an “auntie”.
Judy is survived by her brother, James “Chip” (Tricia) Ostermeyer and niece and nephew, Jennifer Ostermeyer and Mark Ostermeyer. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, co-workers and patients. A memorial mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church is being planned and will be announced shortly.
