Elma Florchuk, 91, of Standish

Elma Estline Florchuk of Standish, MI, born on March 24, 1932, in Williamsburg, KY, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. Known for her loving nature, Elma leaves behind a legacy of warmth and compassion that touched everyone she met.

Elma spent her childhood in Kentucky before embarking on a journey of family and love that would characterize her life. Her devotion to her family was unwavering, and she was a source of strength and comfort to them. She was a cherished mother to Linda (Steven) Graff, Gail (Michael) Cline, Susan Wilks, Norma (Donald) Schmidt. She was a proud grandmother to Charlene, Jolene, Thomas, Stephanie, Justin, Christine, Joshua, Michelle, Amanda, and Russell, and adored by her great-grandchildren Brayden and Adelyn. Her family was her joy, and she delighted in their milestones and achievements.

Elma was warmly embraced by a host of nieces and nephews who will carry dear memories of her kindness. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norman Florchuk; her children Diane Eichhorn and Brian Florchuk; her sisters, Delphia (John) Kotes, and Thelma (Adam); her brothers, Paul (Dorothy) Goins, Pete (Delores) Goins, her parents, Jasper, and Jennie Goins and son-in-law, Keith Wilks.

Elma’s presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 11 am at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Standish Chaple with Pastor John Tousciuk presiding. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, March 22, 2024, and on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will take place at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West Cemetery on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 1:00 pm.
