Deloris Barager, 94, of Prescott

Deloris Crainer Barager, age 94, of Prescott, MI passed to eternal glory on Wednesday March 27, with her family by her side at the Toni and Trish Hospice House in Auburn, Michigan, following a brief illness. Deloris was born October 29, 1929 in Prescott, MI the 14th child of Gus and Meta Bergquist. She was active in her community and was a member of Judson Baptist church where she taught  Sunday School, served on the mission board, faithfully attended and prayed for anyone in need. She loved spending time with her family, loved playing (and usually winning) Skipbo, crocheting and sewing. Many people have enjoyed her creative blue jean quilts, blankets and baby outfits. She was always willing to help wherever, and however, she could.

Deloris is survived by her children, Kenneth (Julie) Crainer, of Prescott, Fayette Crainer of Bay City and Edward (Pamela) Crainer of Whittemore, 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husbands Richard Crainer and Jack Barager, daughter Janice VanDrese, granddaughter Jenni Marsh, her parents and 18 brothers and sisters.

Special thanks to the caring staff at Toni and Trish Hospice House, Compassus Hospice Care, and the Surgery team at MyMichigan Health in Midland, MI.

Visitation will be held on Friday March 29, 2024 from 3pm to 8 pm at the Judson Baptist Church in Prescott and again on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 10 am to 11am. A celebration of Deloris’ life will be at the church at 11:00 am on Saturday, with Pastor Doug Kennedy officiating. Interment will take place at the Richland Township Cemetery in Prescott.
