Carol Kaszubski, 73, of Houghton Lake

Carol A Kaszubski, 73, of  Houghton Lake passed away on Monday March 18, 2024 at home with her loving family by her side.

Carol was born on January 21, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan to Stanley and Dorothy (Wasielewski) Bozek. She grew up in the Detroit area, graduating from Wilbur Wright High School and later Macomb Community College. Carol worked many years as a CNA in the Medical field.  On April 18, 1969 in Detroit, Carol was married to Walter F. Kaszubski. The couple moved to Houghton Lake from St. Clair Shores in 2000. Carol enjoyed crocheting, and bird watching.  She could tell you the name of every species of bird.  Her special love was for the Detroit sports teams, whether it was the Lions, Tigers, or Red Wings, she was watching.

Surviving Mrs. Kaszubski are her daughter, Michelle (Dan) Lear of Houghton Lake; son, Walter Kaszubski of Roscommon; two granddaughters, Rachael (Clinton Kurchak) Lear, and Brittany (Shane) Smith; four sisters, Donna Fortier, Elaine (Bill) Kratz, Janice (Bob) Skinner, and Pamela (Steven) Russell; sister-in-law, Mildred Bozek; brother, Brian (Penny) Bozek; several nieces and nephews.  Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter F. Kaszubski; and brother, Douglas Bozek. 

Celebration of Life Services for Carol A Kaszubski will be conducted at 1:00pm Saturday May 4, 2024 at the Roscommon Township Hall, Houghton Lake. Interment will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery, Houghton Lake. Memorial contributions in memory of Carol are asked to be directed to the Roscommon County Animal Shelter.
