Armand ‘Ace’ Armstrong, 74, of Roscommon

Armand “Ace” Joseph Armstrong, age 74, of Roscommon, died on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at home in the presence and comfort of his family.

Ace was born June 17, 1949, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of Armand E. and Josephine (Salgat) Armstrong.

Ace married Jeanne Lefevre on August 6, 1983, in Saginaw, Michigan.

Ace loved woodworking. He enjoyed going on his daily trips to the park with his dog, Lucille. Ace loved travelling, camping, and taking trips to Mackinac Island. Having lived right on the South Branch of the Ausable river, Ace enjoyed canoeing and kayaking. Most of all, Ace loved spending time with his family, playing with his grandkids, going out on the boat and being supportive of his two sons.

Ace will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by beloved wife, of 40 years,

Jeanne; children: Brandon (Sarah) Armstrong of Ortonville, Michigan; Sean (Kholene Hassler) Armstrong of Salina, Kansas; grandchildren: Guinevere and Ronan; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and not to forget his fur baby “Lucille.”

Ace is preceded in death by his parents, several uncles and aunts and especially his Uncle Tom Salgat.

Family and friends will gather at 11:00 AM for a Funeral Mass, on Friday, April 5, 2024, with an hour of gathering prior to Mass, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 104 North 6th Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.

If so desired, the family prefers memorial contributions be made in Ace’s name to the Saginaw County Animal Control and the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 105.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, Roscommon.
