Kurt Mullas, 63, of West Branch

Kurt Matthew Mullas 63 of West Branch, MI former longtime resident of Melvindale, MI also known as “Moose”, passed away unexpectedly February 22, 2024, from unknown causes.

He was born in Trenton, MI on November 30, 1960 to Raymond and Beverly (Smith) Mullas.

He is survived by his sisters, Christine Rose (Dale), Cheryl Haas (William), Kelley Bowen, & brother-in-law Lawrence Sancrant. He has 6 other siblings, brothers & sisters from his father Raymond Mullas.

Also surviving are his children; Jamie Adkins, Matthew Adkins (Stephaine), Ryan West (Kayla), Michael Mullas, Racheal Clark (Thomas), 10 grandchildren, and nieces and nephews; Kimberly Antcliff, Michael Haas, Amanda Sancrant, Amber Sancrant, Darren Rose, Natasha Sancrant (Diehl), Jillian Rose. Several great nieces and nephews.

Kurt was a beloved Son, Brother, Father, Uncle, and Friend. Kurt served our country in the United States Army for 5 years. After completing his service, he returned to Michigan where he resided in Melvindale, MI. He started a painting company until he later became disabled from a severe stroke. He then settled in West Branch, MI with family.

He will truly be missed.

The Funeral Service with military honors will be held at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 2:00 PM with visitation prior from 12:00 PM until time of service. Pastor Harvey Fry will officiate.
