Susan Ruthmary Fisher, 77, of Prudenville, passed away on Wednesday, Jan 10th, 2024 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, West Branch.
Susan was born on November 26th, 1946 in Anderson, Indiana to Ralph Warren Fisher and Ruth Idabell Addison. She grew up in Royal Oak, Michigan, graduated from Dondero High School, and went on to attend Colby Junior College in New Hampshire and Wayne State University in Detroit before moving out to San Francisco, CA.
Susan was a lifelong lover and student of music and always had a great fondness for her time in South America singing for the Michigan Youth Chorale. Susan worked for many years as an administrative manager for TPA of Georgia in Atlanta, GA and Follex Distributing here in Houghton Lake. She retired from Follex Distributing after helping serve the community for many years, and was both an active member of and the organist for the Presbyterian Kirk of the Lakes.
Susan is survived by her son Zachary Fisher of Prudenville, as well as her niece and nephews Gretchen Hall Walton, Benjamin Hall, Christopher Hall, David Fisher, and Nathan Fisher. She was preceded in death by her brother Douglas Fisher and her sister Barbara Hall.
Celebration of life services will be held at a later date, and memorial contributions in memory of Susan are asked to be directed to the Presbyterian Kirk of the Lakes.
