Lewis Albert “Al” Beesley, age 90 of Hale, MI., passed away peacefully, flying away to join his heavenly family, on January 21, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. Lewis was born on March 1, 1933 in Inkster, MI., to the late Emil and Lena (Landrith) Beesley.
As a young man, Lewis served in the United States Army for 3 years and was honorably discharged in 1954. He had married the love of his life, Patricia (Boyd) Beesley in 1952 and together they raised 6 children. Lewis was a heating and cooling technician for 35 years primarily being employed by Flo-Aire Heating / Cooling.
In his spare time he repaired vehicles. He enjoyed motorcycling, 4-wheeling, car racing, hunting and fishing, and carpentry. He was considered; dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, and great-great-grandpa in the area and in racing community as “grandpa.” He left a wonderful legacy to his 6 children.
Lewis is survived by his children; Debby (Mark) Siebel of Hawks, MI., Lynn (Darrell) Cardwell of Dayton, OH., Mark (Michelle) Beesley of Hale, MI., Nancy (Fred) Myers of AuGres, MI., 13 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Lewis is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (1993); sons, Lewis Jr. and Mark; daughter, Kathy; parents, Emil and Lena. Per Lewis’s cremation has taken place. The family will have a celebration of life service at a later date.
