Leonard G. McMillen, age 93, of Houghton Lake went to be with his Lord on Saturday January 6, 2024 at Horizon Senior Living in St. Helen.
Leonard was born in October of 1930 in Flint, Michigan to Gilbert and Mina (Williams) McMillen. On August 15, 1953, Leonard married Marjorie L. Clum of Lake Odessa. They adopted a son in Michigan, then moved to Alaska, where they adopted their daughter. After 30 years of missionary work the couple moved back to Michigan and the Houghton Lake area. Leonard was a member of Pathway Baptist Church.
Leonard is survived by his children; Jonathan (Bernita) McMillen of Alaska and Ruthann Wilson of Lake Odessa, Michigan, four grandchildren, several great grandchildren and nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and three siblings.
Memorial Services for Leonard G. McMillen will be conducted at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from Pathway Baptist Church, 2375 West Nestel Road, Prudenville, with Pastor Jeff Tuttle officiating. Interment will be in Lake Township Cemetery, in the spring. The family will greet friends at the church on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Memorial contributions in memory of Leonard are asked to be directed to Pathway Baptist Church.
