Janet Miller, 84, of Lupton

Janet Marie Miller, age 84, passed away on Thursday January 25, 2024 at MidMichigan Midland after a brief illness. Janet was born to Ralph and Marie (Aspin) Hollister in Bay City, MI on February 16, 1939. Janet met her late husband Carl Miller at Handy High School and were married on July 13, 1957. Janet was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Pinconning, MI. She enjoyed volunteering at Fish in Hale, MI. She loved all her grandchildren and great grandchildren and spent as much time as she could with them. Janet was the type of person to welcome everyone with open arms. She loved with all of her heart and accepted everyone as they were. She was selfless and never turned down a good book. She loved her birthday club, and her happy place was her home on the lake watching the loons.

Janet is survived by her three children Mark (Cheryl) Miller, Brian (Lori) Miller, Amy McCarthy; grandchildren: April (Adam) Glodowski, Amber (Kurt) Kolander, Jacob (Brenda) Miller, Jeremy (Jordan Rouse) Miller, Brianna (John DePlacito) Miller, Megan (Eli) Baas, John (Rainey) McCarthy II, and Samantha (Zac) Parmentier; great grandchildren: James, Ava, Jonah, Rowen, Levi, Molly, Gavin, Hazel, Mason, Analeigh and Baby Miller on the way. Her siblings Donna Jean Hollister, Sara Hollister, and sister-in-law Marylyn Clayton. Several nieces and nephews who were close to her heart. Special thanks to her friend Frank.

Along with her parents and husband Janet was proceeded in death by her sister Kathy Dabbs and brother Ernie Hollister.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at St. John Lutheran Church in Pinconning, MI at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Weldon will officiate. Friends and family may visit at the Church from 10:00 am until the time of service.
