Mr. Glen Allen Philp, 87 of Lewiston, Michigan died peacefully at his home with his loving wife at his side on January 13, 2024. He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on November 14, 1936, to the late, Allen and Viola (Gruezke) Philp. Glen graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1954. He married his beautiful wife, Sandra (Koernke) Philp on October 10, 1981, and together the couple celebrated 42 years of marriage before his passing. They have resided in Lewiston for the last five years, formerly of Atlanta. Glen worked for the United States Postal Service as a distribution clerk from 1959-1993. Glen enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working with wood where he built custom cabinets and shelves. He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Glen certainly is and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Philp of Lewiston; sons, Martin Philp of Dexter; Stephen Philp of Anne Arbor; stepson, Philip Marsh of Mancelona; grandchildren, Justin, Britany, Zoey, and Otto; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and brother, Raymond (Karmin) Philp of Traverse City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Viola (Gruezke) Philp.
A memorial service will be held in celebration of Glen’s life at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Lewiston. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place at Albert Township Cemetery in the Spring.
