Evelyn Helen (Richmond) Taup, of Hale, MI., passed away peacefully on January 16, 2024 at the age of 93. She was born on November 29, 1930 in Beal City, MI. to the late Norman and Ida (Bierschbach) Taup.
Evelyn was married to Charles (Chuck) Taup on September 12, 1953 and together they raised 2 children: Becky and Tim. She was employed by the Ford Motor Company in Lima, OH., as a “computer key puncher.” After retirement, she and Chuck permanently retired in the Hale area. Evelyn had a passion for gardening and working in her yard by taking great pride in her flower displays. She also enjoyed playing bingo and cards with the residents at Hale Creek Manor. Evelyn was an active and valuable member of the Hale American Legion Women’s Auxiliary as well as the Hale Eagles club. She will forever be remembered as a strong woman who was unafraid to speak her mind and who loved her family deeply.
Evelyn is survived by her loving daughter, Becky Eno, and a son, Tim Taup; grandchildren: Michelle Eno, Danielle (Len) Pomaville, Stacey Eno, Nicole Banks, Erick (Blanca) Taup; great-grandchildren: Ethan, Luke, Shelby, Jayden, Summer, Skylar, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Chuck, her parents, and Son-in-Law Greg Eno. Per Evelyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will hold a celebration of life service at a later date.
