Pat Leavitt, 86, of Hale

Patricia Ann Leavitt, age 86 of Hale, MI., passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born on June 23, 1937 in Toledo, OH., to the late Carl and Edna Howdyshell. She and her husband, Gary, owned and operated Ames Iron Works in Flint, MI., for many years. They eventually sold the business to one of the employees and retired to the Hale area.

Pat enjoyed deer hunting, even taking a nice 8 point just a few years ago. She also liked growing and tending to her flowers around the house, but more than anything else she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her son, Buhl (Marian); brother, Ron (Monica) Howdyshell; sister, Debbie (Dale) Hampton; grandchildren, Desiree, Tiffany, Trisha, Lindsey, Briana; great-grandchildren, Erick, Garrett, Hunter, Brady, Jackson, and many nieces and nephews.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Gary (2006). Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. An online guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com to share memories, condolences, and photos of Patricia.
