Inez Kendall, 93, of Tawas City

It is said that those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard but always near, so loved, so missed, and held so dear. On December 8th 2023 Inez Mildred Kendall peacefully entered into Eternal Life with her Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven, she was 93 years old. Inez was born to the late Nelson and Mildred Ulman on February 6th 1930 in Tawas City, MI. She is preceded in death by her husband Melbourne (Bib) Kendall and her daughter Brenda Sue Kendall. She is survived by four of her children: Cheryl (Robert) Harris, Calvin (Christine) Kendall, Mark (Doris) Kendall, and Brian (Sandra) Kendall. She is also survived by a host of adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Inez and Bib were married in Tawas City, MI in 1946. They remained in Tawas City and built a wonderful life together, quite literally. They lived with their children in a home built from the ground up by them and their surrounding family and friends. Inez valued honesty, working hard, and keeping her independence. She leaves behind a long life filled with beautiful memories that include much unforgettable family time spent at the Kendall Camp, her gourmet peanut butter balls, and being a devoted homemaker for her cherished husband and children. Inez was always willing to share her less well-known memories over a good cup of coffee such as when she fixed lunch for Bob Seger and his band or her photo op with Earnest Tubb. Inez uniquely impacted each person she encountered and what she thought or how she felt was seldom a mystery. Although she may not have known it, Inez instilled a love for family, the importance of hard work, and the hearts of a lion within her children and every one thereafter. Her memory will be held in our hearts always. Our profound gratitude is extended to the staff at Iosco Care Facility for caring for our mother with kindness. A funeral service was held on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Tawas City, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church. Condolences maybe shared at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com

Obituary lovingly written by the Kendall family.
