In Loving Memory
David Howard Brookshire Jr, passed away on December 24, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. David was born January 19th, 1952, in Pontiac. He has lived in West Branch, MI for most of his life. He was a Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather, Brother and Friend to all. The loving husband of 52 years to Kathy S Brookshire (Arntz), were married in Hale MI, on August 7th, 1971. Later they moved to West Branch MI to start their family.
He is survived by his Wife Kathy (Arntz) Brookshire, son Michael (Karl Skyner) Brookshire, daughter Dawn Brookshire (Robert) Jarrell. Grandchildren Tyler Jarrell and Tayler Jarrell (Rylie) Mosher. Great-grandson Gatlin James, Great-granddaughters twins Remington and Reagan. Great Grand-dog “Duck”. David was the big brother to his surviving 7 brothers known as “The Brookshire Boys.” And Uncle Dave to numerous nieces and nephews.
He loved grilling, fishing, old trucks, camping and hanging out with his family and friends around a bonfire drinking beer. Mostly he loved his family fiercely. He is preceded in death by David & Ella Brookshire (parents), sister Dee McKinnon (Brookshire).
No services will be held at this time. David will be laid to rest with his family later this summer.
