Barry Edgecombe, 64, of Gladwin

Barry Edgecombe, a beloved resident of Gladwin, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023. Born on March 21, 1959, to Rollin and Patsy (Hammond) Edgecombe in Saginaw, Barry led a life filled with passion, generosity, and love.

On February 17, 2018, he married Susan Wenzlick in Gladwin, and together they cherished every precious moment of their shared journey. Barry was the proud owner and operator of Edgetec Electric in Gladwin, where he demonstrated not only his skills but also his dedication to his work and community.

Known for his warm hospitality, Barry enjoyed hosting family and friends, creating joyful gatherings filled with fun and laughter. His talented cooking showcased, and his love for dancing would be on display.

Barry’s generosity knew no bounds, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His ability to fix anything, coupled with his genuine kindness, made him a pillar of support for those around him.

Fondly remembered for his “Uncle B dollars,” Barry created cherished memories for the children, especially during gatherings while using his ice cream machine. His infectious laugh, love for his wife, his dog Cab, and admiration for his family, especially his grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew him.

Barry is survived by his loving wife, Susan Edgecombe, and children: Steven (Jenessa), Jennifer (Matt), Jacqulinn (Josiah), and Joseph (Lauren). He was the proud grandpa of nine: Jack, Tyler, Everly, Reid, Judd, Brennan, Ashlynn, Hunter, and Karah. He is also survived by his brother, Bugs (Linda), sister, Kris (Rod) Robbins, and his Edgetec family: Chad, Don, David, and Keegan, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rollin and Patsy, and brothers, Larry and Gary.

Memorial services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, 3:00 P.M. at Good Shepherd Christian Fellowship. The family will receive guests from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
