Robert Allen Leroy Vaughn, age 59, of Roscommon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at his home in the presence and comfort of his family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Robert was born March 7, 1964, at Genesee Hospital in Flint, Michigan, the son of Ruben II and Carol (Lerette) Vaughn. Robert lived the Roscommon area for 35 years. Robert was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and picking Morel mushrooms with his family and friends.
Robert will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his life partner, Karen Coleman of Roscommon; his children: Robert (Becky) Vaughn of Utica, New York, Carol (Rick) Miner of Utica, New York, Joslyn (Nikki) Coleman of Warren, Ohio, A.J. (Sarah) Coleman of Roscommon; 10 grandchildren: Trinity, Sierra, Robert, Sheridan, Elizabeth, Lillith, Castiel, Olivia, Abel, Mia; mother, Carol Vaughn of Birch Run, Michigan; brother, Ruben III (Julie) Vaughn of Saginaw, Michigan; sister, Alicia (Craig) McCabe of Savannah, Georgia; brother, Jerry (Anna) Vaughn of Midland, Michigan; as well as many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his father, Ruben Vaughn II; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Alice (Caswell) Lerette; paternal grandparents, Ruben and Gertrude (Beckner) Vaughn.
Robert’s family has chosen to remember him privately at this time.
