Alberta Ayers, 89, of Oscoda

Alberta Ilene (Nichols) Ayers, age 89, of Oscoda, MI, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Saturday, November 11, 2023. Alberta was born April 13, 1934 to the late Hamilton and Etta (Peterson) Nichols. She worked for many years as a cook at Oscoda Schools. Alberta enjoyed playing Euchre with her family, baking, puzzles, and watching old time Westerns. She loved her children and grandchildren, and her biggest job was making sure everyone was behaving. Alberta was a member of the VFW auxiliary. She married her husband, Fred Edward Ayers on November 22, 1951. Alberta is survived by her loving sons, Brian Ayers, David (Sheryl) Ayers, Dennis Ayers, Craig (Cyndy) Ayers, Brent (Kimberly) Ayers, her brother, Fred (Julie) Nichols, her sister, Ethel Townsend, 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred (Hank) Edward Ayers, sons, Fred and Bruce Ayers and her great-grandson, Dominik Tippett.
