Joseph McCulloch, 90, of Beaverton

Joseph P. McCulloch, 90, of Beaverton passed away on August 23, 2023. He was born on March 6, 1933 the son of Willis II and Virginia (Evans) McCulloch in Beaverton. He was united in marriage to Berniece Wood and together shared 69 years until she preceded him in death in 2021. He was a veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving during the Korean War. Joe worked for Brown Machine before starting his own business McLarJo Corporation. He enjoyed fishing in Florida, camping, flying, watching his wife play Blue Grass music, and spending time with his family. His biggest enjoyment was riding the trails of Michigan on the shore to shore ride for over 15 years, earning over 38 trophies, on his beloved horse Rocky.

He is survived by his children; Dennis McCulloch of Gladwin, Mike (Denise) of Beaverton, Bryan (Renae) of Kingman, AZ, Cynthia (Chris) Day of Kemah, TX; grandchildren: Cory (Jeremy) Cuddie; Carrie McCulloch (John McNeil), Gary (Jennifer) McCulloch, Sarah (Jeff) Blackmer, Erin (Robert) Staples, Elizabeth (Robert) Lee, Stephen (Carrie L.) McCulloch, Amanda Day (Karl Hoelscher), and Lauren Day; 19 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Dick McCulloch, Jerry McCulloch, Willis III (Joan) McCulloch, and Candi McCulloch (Dave Chichester.

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents: Willis II and Virginia, wife: Berniece, daughter-in-law: Cheryl McCulloch, brothers: Larry (JoAnn Blades) McCulloch, and James “Doug” McCulloch; sister in-laws: Lois McCulloch and Birdie McCulloch.

Memorial Services will be conducted on Saturday, September 2, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at the Beaverton United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
