Glenna Kimbrell, 87, of West Branch

Glenna Mae Kimbrell, age 87, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023, at The Villa in Rose City, MI. Glenna has been a resident of West Branch, since 1965 previously of Lexington, KY. She was born on October 3, 1935, in Mt. Vernon, KY to Benjamin and Lilly (Reynolds) Childress. Glenna graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1953. She worked at Taylor Door in West Branch for over 29 years. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, and spending time with her family. She was proud of all her children and grandchildren and affectionally known to them as “Nanu”.

Glenna is survived by her children Gayle (Roger) Hughey of West Branch, Charles Kimbrell Jr. of West Branch, Jim Kimbrell of West Branch and Gary Kimbrell of St. Helen. Glenna has 10 grandchildren Brian, Bradley, Brett, Brandy, Jimmie, Joshua, Matthew, Amanda, Gail, and Nicole; 34 great grandchildren Bryce, Brooke, Brady, Phillip, Madison, McKaylin, Logan, Addison, Kennedy, Piper, Paisley, Isaiah, McKayla, Ryan, Jenise, Logan, Collin, Kayden, Kolton, Kameren, Isabel, Ava, Jemma, Tate, Jacob, Amber, Hannah, Ashton, Pierce, Emmett, Lucan, Colin, Kaylie, and Jaxon and 5 great great grandchildren along with one surviving brother Buddy Childress. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, grandson Gary Jr., siblings Walker, Jesse, Cecil, Luther, Hencie, Eddie, Jean, Mamie, Corine, Hazel and Ida, and daughter in law Donna.

Visitation for Glenna will begin Friday, July 7, 2023, at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch from 4-8pm. Her funeral service will be on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery after the service with a light luncheon to follow. Chaplin Randy Brokaw will officiate.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the family in memory of Glenna.
