Lin Kelley, 69, of Mio

Lin Kelly (born Linda Ann Mooney), passed away on June 16, 2023, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on May 14, 1954, in Leavenworth, Kansas. Lin is survived by her loving husband, Patrick Kelly. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Amy Kemmer (Todd) and Tim (Jennie) Cunningham. There was nothing Lin loved more than her family, and she adored her five grandchildren – Ellery & Ryleigh Kemmer and Mason, Max & Olivia Cunningham. She was also a loving grandma to her “granddog,” Luna. Lin’s many friends also meant so much to her.

Lin will be welcomed to heaven by her parents, Harold and Virginia Mooney, her brother, Gregory Mooney, and her stepfather, John (Jack) Rohde. She was the definition of selfless, kind, and caring, and she will be missed by so many people. Her light will shine on in the hearts of those who loved her and they will continue her legacy by leading with kindness and love in all things they do.

A visitation will be held for Lin on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 4-8 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, 318 Pearl St., Mio, MI 48647. She will be buried with her parents at Van Hoosen Jones Cemetery, 570 E. Tienken Rd., Rochester Hills, MI 48306, on Friday, June 30, 2023, with close friends and family present.
