Joan Ellen Troyer of Comins, Michigan passed away on Saturday June 17, 2023 after a long battle of cancer peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.
Joan was born January 29, 1944 in Flint, Michigan to Lawrence and Dorothy White. She married Kenneth Troyer in August 24th 1963. They had three children, Lauri Troyer, Lynn (Rodd) Layman and Larry (Savanna) Troyer.
After living in several Midwest cities the family decided to move to Ken’s hometown area to raise their children. They built their forever home in Comins.
Joan attended Fairview Mennonite Church and was very active in The Northern Michigan Relief Sale until her health started to decline.
Ken and Joan along with their family, loved spending time at their cabin on a small lake near Levering, Michigan.
Joan loved spending time with her family and enjoyed the visits with her grand and great grandchildren. She also loved spending time with her good friend Tavia Chicha.
Joan is survived by her husband, her three children, her grandchildren, Deanna, Joseph, Brook, Katelyn, Tyler, Whitney and Garrett and her great grandchildren Gradie, Duncan, Hattie, Lawson, Levi and one more grandson coming in October.
She is predeceased by her parents, brothers Lawrence and Gary White.

Visitation will be held on Saturday July 1, 2023 at the Fairview Mennonite Church starting at 9:00 a.m. with services following at 11:00 with Pastor Lowell Eastman officiating.
