Betty Lou (St. Charles) McGrandy passed away peacefully at her home in Hale, surrounded by her family on June 6, 2023. Betty was born in Saginaw, MI on April 8, 1943, to James and Alice (Huckins) St. Charles. She married the love of her life, George McGrandy, Sr. on December 8, 1962. A former resident of Bridgeport, MI, she moved to Hale with her husband George and their children in 1999. Betty was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing bingo, casino trips, and working in her flower gardens. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, George; her children; George (Ronnie) McGrandy Jr. of Hale, Janice (Steve) Schanhals of Holland, and Dennis McGrandy of Hale; 5 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 12, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and Tuesday starting at 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at Buresh Funeral Home in Hale, MI.
