Margaret Welch, 92, of Gladwin

Margaret Welch, 92, of Gladwin, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023. She was born on November 10, 1930, in Gladwin, the youngest of 9 children, to Clair Kinne and Emma Lurene Coffell. On January 21, 1948, she was united in marriage to her true love, Donald Welch, in Gladwin. Margaret worked as a church secretary for the Methodist Church in Gladwin and later the Aldersgate Church in Midland.  She also worked as a dental assistant for several years before becoming a real estate agent and selling real estate for most of her career. Margaret enjoyed staying active, and had many interests.  She loved decorating her home, which was filled with pieces of antique furniture and dishes, which she displayed in creative ways.  She sewed her own window treatments, and always had a project going, or one in the planning stage.  Her hobbies included jewelry making, landscaping items for miniatures, and flower gardening, especially morning glories. She was devoted to her faith and church. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 75 years: Donald Welch; children: Cynthia (Victor) Clore and Daniel (Sharon) Welch; grandchildren: Sarah Rehberg (Timothy), Rachel Clore, Jason Welch, and Jennifer (Jeff) Rader; and great grandchildren: Dakotah Moore, Jacob Moore, and Emilee Osciak.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 8 siblings.

Memorial Services will be conducted tentatively on Friday, June 2, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at Aldersgate Church in Midland. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Inurnment will be held at Highland Cemetery, Gladwin. Memorial Contributions may be made according to the wishes of the family.
