Judy Duke, 86, of Roscommon

Judith Ann Duke, age 86, of Roscommon, died on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at her home in the presence and comfort of her family.

Judy was born July 6, 1936, in Nankin Township, Michigan, the daughter of Rumsey and Margaret (Keller) Raymond.

Judy was a bird watcher, especially for her favorite, the hummingbird. In her younger years, Judy enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She liked baking and canning. Judy took pleasure in always making a meal for someone or simply offering them a piece of pie. She liked watching the older shows on TV, like “The Price is Right,” “Jeopardy,” and “The Andy Griffith Show,” and playing games on the computer. Judy enjoyed playing piano when she was still able. One of Judy’s favorite things to do was watch movies of the family. Judy loved her cat of many names, “Love Bug,” and “Prissy” to name a couple. “Love Bug” loved her salmon patties and her treats. The family will always remember their mother for enjoying spending time with her family and friends, whether it was just visiting, or playing a game of cards, taking a ride in the car, and taking camping trips to the U.P.

Judy will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her beloved husband, Owen, of over 67 years of marriage; children: Leslie (Nancy) Duke of Delta, Ohio, Darla Bissonnette of Roscommon, Jay (Melanie) Duke of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Timothy (Dalena), Amy, Erin (Neil), Cynthia, Autumn, Skyler, Ean; great-grandchildren: Katelyn and Kody; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Joanne.

Family and friends will gather from 11:00 AM until the time of the Funeral at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Wagner and Walsh Funeral Directors, 143 Lake Street, Roscommon, Michigan 48653.
