Age 46, passed away at her home in Prescott, Michigan, on April 7, 2023. Tammy was born in West Branch, Michigan, on November 30, 1976, to the late Larry and Kitty McElroy. She was a lifelong resident of Prescott, Michigan, and she graduated from Whittemore-Prescott High School. Following high school, Tammy worked at a road construction job and also spent some time working in a local manufacturing plant. Some of her favorite hobbies consisted of gardening, working on her house, being out in her yard, baking, and fishing. Tammy was the type of woman who would do anything for anyone, no matter what. She had an extremely kind personality, was very funny, and always seemed to be laughing. Tammy will be missed dearly.
Tammy is survived by her children, Ryatt Watson and Chloe McElroy; sisters, Amber McElroy, Debbie McElroy, and Michelle Simonis; brothers, Edward McElroy, and Jim McElroy; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Tammy was preceded in death by her brother, Larry McElroy Jr.
Per the family’s wishes, Tammy has been cremated. There will be a memorial service held for Tammy in the near future. In her memory, the family wishes to provide a hotline phone number for those that are facing mental and/or substance use disorders.
