Joseph Tipsword, 90, of Gladwin, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. He was born on May 3, 1932, the son of Paul and Eva (Schultz) Tipsword in Highland Park. He was a veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his country during the Korean War. He married Rose Orlando and she preceded him in death in 1997. Joe worked for Chrysler for 46 years until his retirement. He later married Patricia Copeland, she survives him. Joe moved to Gladwin in 1987, previously residing in Detroit. He loved trips to the casino and taking his luck out on lottery tickets. He was a handy man around the house and took pride keeping up on his lawn.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia Tipsword; children: Joseph Tipwsord, Julie Porter, Laura (Kevin) Dorrell, Chris (Jeannie) Tipsword, Dominic Tipsword, and David Tipsword; step-children: Charles (Lucia) Copeland, Chris (Brittany) Copeland, and Cynthia (Scott) Shell; grandchildren: Eric, Michael, John, Jeff, Thomas, Brian, Wendy, Lyn, Courtney, Marty, Jennifer, Brandi, Olivia, Taylor, Anthony, Darren, Elizabeth, and Keith; numerous great grandchildren; and brothers: Paul and Jimmie.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Rose; daughter: Eva; son in-law: Roy Porter; and several siblings.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, April 22, 2023, 1:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Memorial Contributions may be made according to the family. www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com
