FAIRVIEW- Lydia’s Gate in Mio is holding its annual benefit auction at Tri-Point Church of God in Fairview, located at 831 Miller Road. The event began about 9 a.m. and ended about noon
Lydia’s Gate is a homeless shelter in Oscoda County funded primarily by the churches in the region.
The purpose of Lydia’s Gate is to:
- Provide emergency shelter to individuals and families who are homeless and have no other resources.
- Direct those individuals and families to appropriate community resources to address their homeless situation and provide care management.
- Advocate with other agencies and programs for better service for those individuals and families.
- Offer these individuals and families the opportunity to correct their current situation and rectify their lives through Christian counseling.
