Catherine Zenker, 86, of Atlanta

Mrs. Catherine Gladys Zenker, 86 of Atlanta, Michigan died peacefully on March 28, 2023, at WellSprings Lutheran Services in Fairview. She was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by her late husband, Larry who preceded her in death in 2000. Catherine was born in Mason, Michigan on September 26, 1936, to the late, Winfield and Gladys (Turner) Fell. She spent her winters in Texas but her permanent home was here in Atlanta where she has resided permanently since 2001. She was a member of the Atlanta Congregational Church of Christ and taught as a Sunday school teacher when her children were younger. She enjoyed many hobbies including; her love for dancing, painting, sewing, and crafts. She even owned her own woodcraft store. Family was the utmost importance to Catherine, and she loved to spend time with her children and all her grandbabies. She is and will be deeply missed.

Catherine is survived by her loving children, Debra (Jim Baker) Klein of Atlanta; Denise (Bob) Rush of Clarkston; Dottie (Mark Shubert) Stoddard of Brenham, Texas; Delana (Dan) Evans of Bryan, Texas; daughter-in-law, Penny Schmidt of Lupton; son-in-law, Bob Kent of Cat Spring, Texas; grandchildren, Kim (Ryan) Marlatt of Atlanta; Jace (Aimee) Klein of Gaylord; Travis (Beda) Kent of Columbus, Texas; Hope Mullins of Aledo, Texas; Shannon Stoddard of Glen Rose, Texas; Katelyn (Caden) Walker of Huntsville, Texas; Kassidy (Skyler) Norris; Kelsey Evans; Keeli Evans all of Bryan, Texas; Adam (Megan) Rush of Goodrich; Brian (Kristin) Frank of Goodrich; Steven (Anna) Rush of Clarkston; siblings, Judy McKenzie of Lansing; and Winfield Fell of Mason; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Winfield and Gladys Fell; husband, Larry; daughter, Dawn Kent; sons, Albert and Shad; and granddaughter, Danielle Klein.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Catherine privately at this time. There will be a memorial held in celebration of her life at a later date.
