Kurt Allen Yanna, beloved husband, son, grandson, brother, and uncle, passed away at his home on March 13, 2023, in Cedar Park, Texas at the age of 33.

Kurt was born on September 29, 1989, in Royal Oak, MI to Wendy Pinkerton and the late Albert Yanna, Jr.  He spent his youth in both Freeland and Tawas City, Michigan and graduated from Tawas Area High School in 2008.

Kurt was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he served his country for 7 years and obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant as an Air Traffic Controller. Kurt served at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane,Washington and then the Royal Air Force Base Lakenheath near the village of Lakenheath in Suffolk,England, UK.  After his service, Kurt and his wife Sydney eventually moved back to the United States in 2022 and settled into Cedar Park near Austin, Texas.

Kurt enjoyed dabbling in stock option trading, working out, snowboarding, travel, friends, family, and spending time cooling off from the Texas heat at nearby Barton Springs Park.

Kurt is survived by his wife Sydney, mother Wendy (Charles) Pinkerton, brother Nicholas (Paige) Palumbo, sister Samantha Yanna-Carlson, grandfather Darryl Leslie, nephews Callum, Everett, and Emery and his beloved rescue dog Pepé.  He was preceded in death by his father Albert Yanna, Jr., step-father Christopher Palumbo, grandmother Carol Leslie, grandfather Albert Yanna, Sr., and grandmother Eva Joyce Yanna.

A small, private celebration with his immediate family will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Iosco Humane Society, 3881 M-55, Tawas City, MI 48763.
