James Roy Knight, II of Grayling passed away peacefully on February 28, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 53.
Jim was born May 27, 1969 in Quantico, Virginia. He graduated from Grayling High School in 1987 and spent most of his life in Grayling. The majority of his career was spent in healthcare where he was currently employed as the Regional Director of Operations for Medilodge.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kellie (Parker) Knight and dog Boo of Grayling, MI; mother, Bonnie Knight of Grayling, MI; four daughters, Jonnie (Josh) Knight of Richmond, VA, Georgie (Drew) Knight of Grayling MI, Abby (Tyler) Simoyne of Gaylord, MI, and Megan (Rowdy) Large of Gaylord, MI; honorary son Caleb Caul; sister Charlotte (Aaron) Chamberlain of Pickerington, OH; brother Michael (Karie) Knight of Holt, MI, parent-in-laws Mike and LeeAann Parker of Johannesburg, MI as well as best friend, David “Bubba” Nielson. Jim also leaves behind his grandchildren Kaiya, Liam, and Victor and was awaiting the birth of three more grandchildren by summer. He was preceded in death by his father Roy “Gunny” Knight, sister Kristina Arbelius, and brother-in-law Scott Arbelius. Jim enjoyed spending time with family and friends and hosting cookouts in his backyard.
