Connie Hunt, 80, of Hale

Connie Lynn Hunt 80 years old was born on August 30th 1942 in Saginaw Michigan passed away on March 20th 2023 at her home in Hale Michigan. Connie was a graduate of Saginaw High and was in the school band, then went to Delta College at Bay City Center to pursue an accounting degree. She followed those dreams and worked for Kroger’s and Dillons as an auditor. She also worked for W.T. Grants, Wards and McDonald’s. She also owned a franchise with “My Favorite Muffin” which was located in the Fashion Square Mall in Saginaw Michigan.

Connie loved to read and she loved her family very much. She was always on the move and she loved to travel and she would often take many of her nieces and nephews along, whom she loved dearly. During the winter months she would travel to Florida and she would bring her trusted dog BeBe whom she loved. As a little girl Connie gave her heart to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a member of In His Presence, Hale Assembly of God and while she was in Florida she went to Grace Baptist in Belleview Florida. Both in Michigan and Florida Connie loved to go to the local thrift store to find a gem. At her 80 acers in Hale, Connie would look forward to family members coming up to deer hunt.

Connie is survived by her siblings Sandy Halquist, Sharon Braley, Lonna (Lynn) Ellsworth. Nieces and nephews, Joe (Jan) Breecher, MeLissa (Dan) Adamczyk, Michelle Trudell, Scott (Kristi) Halquist, Chip (Markie) Ellsworth, David (Erin) Hunt, John (Juile) Halquist, Curt (Tricia) Ellsworth, Candee (Steve) Groh, Alonzo (Angela) Braley, Heidi (Pete) Garcia. She also leaves behind lifelong friends Sally Gay and Pauline McKee. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Marie Hunt, her brother Maynard (Esther) Hunt, brother-in-laws Carl Halquist and Herb Braley, nephew Trip Halquist and niece Kim Hunt.

The family is invited to a committal service on March 27th at 11am at Esmond Evergreen Cemetery in Hale Michigan. A memorial service will be planned for the summer of 2023 in Hale Michigan for friends and family.
