Roberta Lee Rogers, age 77, of Oscoda, MI, formerly of Detroit, MI passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 surrounded by her family.
She was born on December 22, 1945 in Detroit, MI to the late Frederick and Florence (Russell) Medley. Roberta spent her younger years working as a hairdresser. She loved to travel and lived in many places over the years, eventually settling in Oscoda with her daughter. Even though she was living in Michigan, her love for the warmer climates never left her. Roberta was a social butterfly who loved singing, dancing and listening to Motown music, but most importantly, she cherished her role as a wife, mother and grandmother and the joy those relationships brought into her life.
She is survived by her loving children, Shiree (Andrew) Lennon, Shayna Rogers and Rischard Rogers; sisters, Shirley Ruby and Judith McIntyre; grandchildren, Chante, Shane, Andrew, Jr., Annaliese, Sophia and Elijah; great-grandchildren, Lilly, Richie, Lyric, Scarlet, Melody, Arielle, Andrew, III, Symphony, Ava, Syris and Asher and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Rogers; brother, Timothy Medley; sister, Mary Lou Medley and grandson, Nicholas. Roberta will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
